Kulluna promoting Healthy Heart drive

The Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is participating in celebrations marking Qatar National Day at Darb Al Saai.

Hamad International Training Centre’s Kulluna for Health and Safety, the Ambulance Service, Nutrition, Corporate Communications and Nursing Departments are taking part
until Saturday.

Kulluna is promoting its Healthy Heart campaign and encouraging visitors to check their cholesterol levels and heart echo as well as for diabetes. Kulluna is also creating awareness of the importance of using child car seats and educating families with young children about the correct way of selecting and
installing child seats in vehicles.

Reem al- Sadi, head of HMC’s nutrition department, said the department’s participation was to promote the recently launched Smart Weight Programme that assists people with a body mass index of over 30 to lose weight without medication or surgery.

The Ambulance Service is showcasing its “Help Us to Help You” and “Know the Five to Save a Life” campaigns targeting all age groups and offering them training in first aid emergency.
